Successful Candidates Will Be Expected To
- Inspect, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles and flatbed Trailers
- Adjust equipment to repair or replace defective parts
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment
- Replace steering systems, gearboxes and braking systems, among other things including the mounting and dismounting of semi-tires
- Inspect and test the lighting systems and performance of commercial vehicles and flatbed trailers
- Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment
- Keep detailed records of all vehicles
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding
- Basic Safety with power tools
- Attention to detail
- CDL License is preferred, but not required
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and lift 50 lbs. for up to 10 hours per day, when necessary
