POSITION SUMMARY:
The Front Desk Team Member serves as the communication link between patients, providers, clinical staff, insurance companies, and the billing department. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, scheduling appointments, managing phone communications, maintaining patient records, and supporting efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner while providing excellent customer service
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient communications and recalls
- Respond to patient questions regarding services, billing, office policies, and procedures
- Prepare patient charts and verify insurance and demographic information prior to appointments
- Process patient check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately
- Collect and post payments, verify documentation, and assist with insurance and referral processes
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system
- Perform daily operational tasks, including balancing cash drawers, processing deposits, and completing required reports
- Monitor patient flow throughout the office and communicate delays appropriately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or leadership
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly
- Visual and verbal acuity necessary for detailed administrative and patient communication tasks
- Professional medical office environment requiring strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
