Workplace Summary
Founded in 1946, TVN is a cooperative, non-discriminatory, secular, non-profit, preschool located in the
town of Bethlehem, hamlet of Delmar, New York. TVN is unique as a cooperative school in the capital
district area, offering parents and families varied opportunities for meaningful roles in their children' s
educational process and social experiences, as well as strong connectedness within our school community.
TVN is governed by a parent-led board whose members work closely with directors and staff.
TVN offers classes for 3- and 4-year-olds which focus on creating an early love of learning rooted in
child-centered creative play and experimentation. Classes are led by a lead teacher and assistant teacher team,
and are usually accompanied by a classroom helper volunteer for the day. Classroom helpers are generally
family members or close others to the students who assist with daily tasks, affording excellent student/teacher
ratios; the role is one example of family involvement in the cooperative. Students leave TVN well-prepared
for kindergarten.
TVN seeks experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals who would like to join our
