Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists, A Division of Bass Medical Group is a full comprehensive, state-of-the-art orthopedic practice, providing high level services to the community in Pleasanton, San Ramon and Tracy.
We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Practice Manager to join our dynamic team. The Medical Practice Manager position is a critical role for the practice.
In this role, the Medical Practice Manager will work under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer in providing management and leadership to our administrative team in our 3 locations. This position supports a wide range of functions by providing front line response, staff oversight and daily practice operations, billing, human resources, and the patient flow of the designated practice. The Medical Practice Manager engages in leadership decisions to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality patient care and engagement and compliance with governmental regulations. This position is responsible for the management of office administrative personnel, including am office supervisor and engagement with office medical staff personnel, responsible for day-to-day operations, billing, scheduling, budgeting, training and ensuring high quality customer service to our patients.
The Medical Practice Manager will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, professional demeanor and the ability to perform well in stressful situations in high-volume clinics with extensive knowledge of healthcare systems operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Manage daily operations of the practice while maintaining a professional workplace
· Liaise with Chief Administrative Officer and Operations Manager to identify potential office dysfunctions
· Supervise and schedule office staff, ensures adherence to Company culture, policies, and procedures
. Assists in the recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and offboarding process of staff to build and maintain a high-performing team
. Train new staff
· Addresses staff issues and conducts regular performance reviews
· Supervises inventory, ordering and control of all medication, office supplies, and equipment needed to deliver practice services
. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to the operations of the medical practice.
. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and confidentiality policies in dealing with customers and staff
. Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, HR and medical laws and high ethical standards
. Create clinic schedules, forms on EHR system (Athena Healthcare)
· Monitor budget and billing payments
· Create monthly revenue cycle reports
· Ensures clinics are staffed adequately
· Monitor call center activity for optimized customer service
· Monitor staff punches, overtime and time off requests
· Develop and implement office policies and procedures
· Assist Administrator with multiple projects and administrative tasks
· Arrange cleaning staff and emergency maintenance services as necessary
· Provide informative material for patients
. Coordinates department meetings
Skills:
· Strong organization and leadership skills
· Proven work experience as a Medical Practice Manager
· Ability to handle medical records discreetly
· Knowledge of medical operations, issues and terminology
. Knowledge of current CA HR laws and processes
· Excellent time-management skills
· Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
· Excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation
· Experience in Orthopedics a plus
· Spanish speaking a plus
· Experience with Athena preferred
. Must have medical billing experience
Requirements:
· 5 years in a supervisory role in a Medical facility
· Associate Degree or relevant education and work experience equivalent
