Schedule:

(Monday - Friday) 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

The reach truck operator position will be responsible for, but not limited to, functions pertaining to shipping, receiving, storing, loading and distributing materials and products. The activities of this assignment are oriented to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations by performing the following duties.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to become certified and safely operate a Stand-Up and/or Sit-Down Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).
• Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or pull sheets to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Sort and place product on racks, shelves, or on the floor according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code.
• Fill and process pull sheets, work order, or requests for other materials in accordance to procedure.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Load and unload materials into trucks with a lift truck.
• Transport product to and from receiving, storage, or to other designated areas within the warehouse.
• Forklift operator is required to make sure each box has an address label.
• Forklift operator is responsible for separating packages according to the different level of service and loading them accordingly.
• Responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet by properly stacking and shrink wrapping the built pallet.
• Making sure the processed boxes being shipping are in good condition.
• Forklift Operator stacks Ground boxes neatly into trailer
• Assists in physical inventory counts of finished goods as required.
• Prepares bill of lading and packing slips for outbound orders.
• Assists with shipping logs and checks all paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

The employee may lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
