Summary/Objective
The truck driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving operations. This job will primarily consist of local vehicle operations involving positioning and moving trucks and trailers between warehouses. On occasion, deliveries will be required throughout the region.
Essential Functions

- Operate company-owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
- Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials.
- Perform required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports. Notify managers or any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.
- Communicate with dispatch as needed.
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
- Maintain and protect all property in excellent and clean condition.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Work Environment
This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee may lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are a continuous two-week rotation. Employee will have every other weekend scheduled off.
Week 1- Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday (Hours-6:00pm - 6:00am)
Week 2- Wednesday/Thursday (Hours-6:00pm - 6:00am)
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 or more year(s) of experience as truck driver.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Clean driving record with no moving violations
2. Must pass background check and drug test
3. Self-starter who works well independently
4. Must be able to operate an electronic log.
