Job Summary
We are seeking Lighting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical and lighting systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting lighting and electrical systems in various environments. You will need to be professional and maintain a clean and organized job site. This will usually be a one or two man job, so you will usually be working without supervision and communication on progress will be very important.
Responsibilities
- Remove outdated fluorescent, HID, and LED lighting systems and install new modern lighting. (Commonly referred to as retrofitting)
- Keeping a clean and orderly work environment
- Collaborate with other technicians to optimize productivity.
- Perform routine maintenance on lighting fixtures and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with lighting systems during retrofits.
- Keep accurate records of hours, materials used, and maintaining vehicle and jobsite cleanliness.
- Perform routine and situational maintenance.
Requirements
- Basic electrical knowledge. Journeyman electrician would be perfect for this job.
- Ability to obtain necessary tools and equipment to perform your duties. Some tools may be provided for you.
- Familiarity with using basic hand tools, power tools, and an electrical test meter
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings. This is a traveling position. Most weeks you should expect to be out of town from Monday morning until Friday afternoon. (This isn't always the case but should be expected) Weekends are very rarely worked and we would ask you in advance if you're available.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other crew members and supervisor.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including outdoor settings.
Join our team as a Lighting Technician and earn hours towards an electrical license. We also provide access to CALT (certified apprentice lighting technician), and CSLT (certified senior lighting technician) certifications. A raise comes along with any certification received. You’ll work as an electrical apprentice under a master electrician. Count your hours toward an electrical license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
