ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety:Will be an owner of the Krause Bell principles and concepts.Champion the change to adopt and apply these principles by ensuring Operation Supervisors understand and are applying the concepts in day-to-day operations.
- Supervise and direct Operation Supervisors and oversee the operations activities of Scrubber and Coal Handling area activities at Craig Station.
- Assist with preparing, administering and monitoring functional area capital and operations budgets and long-range plans for scrubbers and baghouses.
- Coordinate and implement employee safety, training and appraisal programs.
- Coordinate scrubber operations, baghouse operations, and ash handling activities with plant operations, maintenance and others, as required.
- Develop, implement and monitor functional area goals.
- Coordinate and resolve concerns with external contacts such as vendors, consultants and other business contacts and companies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of scrubbers and Coal Handling baghouses, and ash handling areas with safety, contractual, environmental and other company policies, programs and procedures and governmental regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports on status of equipment and events, including Ash haul summary and budget, coordinate Lime and Limestone delivery, EOM Scrubber availability reporting.
- Because Tri-State is an electric utility with continuous service obligations to its customers, regular, reliable, and predictable performance of the essential functions and responsibilities is an essential function of the job.
- Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education And Training
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, electrical or mechanical disciplines preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant scrubber operations and ash handling practices and procedures.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
- Ability to interpret and administer labor agreements.
- Ten (10) years of directly related experience with at least eight (8) years of power plant experience and five (5) years in supervisory capacity.
- Willingness to travel as required. (Must possess a valid driver’s license.)
- Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all the essential functions of the position.
- Physical demands :While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally stoop, bend, reach above and below shoulder level up to 50 lbs. Incumbent is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk and hear. Incumbent must have finger dexterity, good vision, good color vision, good hearing, and ability to speak clearly, and handle intricate work.
- Mental demands : While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to read, write, perform basic math, analyze data and reports, exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures and goals, and present information to others and work under pressure.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is exposed to dust and exposed to electrical risks, and works around large industrial operating equipment.
