Position Overview:
As a Driveway Gate Technician at Tri State Gate, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of gate systems, including both manual and automated gates. You will work directly with customers to ensure that installations and repairs meet their needs and expectations while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial driveway gates, including manual and automatic gates.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gate systems, electrical components, and control panels.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and offer recommendations for repairs or upgrades to clients.
- Ensure all installations and repairs are completed to code and safety standards.
- Provide customers with product information, troubleshooting guidance, and basic operational training.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
- Communicate with the office team regarding job status, part requirements, and customer requests.
- Follow safety procedures and use proper equipment to minimize risks during work.
- Be on-call for emergency service requests when required.
- Assist in the preparation of quotes and proposals for potential clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical certifications or training is a plus).
- No previous knowledge of automated gate systems required, we provide all necessary training.
- Previous experience in a similar technical field (electrician or mechanic experience) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.
Additional Details:
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional overtime or on-call work)
