Duties
- Manage daily warehouse operations including inventory control, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment using ERP systems and order management software.
- Assist customers at the parts counter by providing expert advice on OEM parts, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing parts from suppliers, negotiating prices, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate data entry for inventory records, purchase orders, and supply chain documentation using systems like CMMS or AS400.
- Support demand planning and pricing strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory while meeting customer needs.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to handle large parts shipments or equipment repairs.
- Collaborate with automotive service teams to ensure availability of parts for repairs such as auto body work or HVAC systems, supporting dealership or shop efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive parts management, dealership operations, or warehouse management with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with procurement management, sourcing strategies, and negotiation with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, OEM parts specifications, auto body repair procedures, and automotive repair workflows.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms; proficiency in data entry and inventory control is essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to assist clients effectively.
- Prior experience working with logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and warehouse experience in a manufacturing or auto dealership environment is highly desirable.
