DESCRIPTION
NYC IN-PERSON AUDITIONS — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2026
BY INVITATION ONLY | PAID NON-EQUITY ROLES
SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR NEW APPLICANTS: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22
Triângulo Productions LLC is accepting additional submissions for a special round of invitation-only, in-person auditions in Manhattan on Sunday, October 25, for the professional world premiere of Triângulo at Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria, Arizona (Phoenix Metropolitan Area).
This is an extension of our ongoing casting process. Performers who have already submitted materials through our existing Playbill listing or other casting channels do not need to apply again. We are reviewing previously received submissions and will reach out to appropriate New York-area candidates regarding invitations to the October 25 auditions.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Set between Rio de Janeiro and Miami in the early 1990s, Triângulo follows Esperança, a young Brazilian woman whose extraordinary talent for Brazilian jiu-jitsu draws her into the emerging world of mixed martial arts as she struggles to build a better life for herself and her younger brother.
The production brings together contemporary theatrical storytelling, dance, and authentic MMA-inspired fight choreography with an amplified score blending 1990s pop and rock, Brazilian and Cuban musical traditions, Latin jazz, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
Although the work incorporates operatic storytelling, its musical language is firmly rooted in contemporary musical theatre, pop, rock, and Latin music rather than traditional opera.
