Experienced Termite Technician – Lead Opportunity

Tri-County Termite & Pest Control, Inc. is seeking an experienced pest control professional to join our termite division. We are a family-owned company that has served New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland since 1986.

This is a full-time, year-round position primarily focused on termite inspections, liquid termiticide treatments, and baiting-system installations. For a qualified candidate with strong termite experience, this position offers the opportunity to assume lead responsibilities within the department.

Although our main office is located in Carneys Point, New Jersey, technicians may start and end their day from home using a company vehicle after completing the initial training and vehicle-assignment process.

Compensation

$25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on termite experience, licensing, and demonstrated ability to perform work independently, plus commissions and other available incentive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential, commercial, and industrial properties for termites, wood-destroying insects, and related conditions.
• Perform perimeter treatments using liquid termiticides.
• Trench, rod, drill, and treat foundations according to product labels and company procedures.
• Install, inspect, and service termite baiting systems.
• Core drill through concrete, asphalt, and other hardscape when necessary to install baiting stations.
• Operate hammer drills, core drills, spray rigs, hand augers, and other specialized equipment.
• Identify customer needs and clearly explain treatment and prevention recommendations.
• Measure treatment areas and prepare accurate dimensions and information for proposals.
• Perform general pest control and minor exclusion work, including caulking and screening, when needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service, material, time, and treatment records.
• Use a smartphone and tablet to communicate with customers and the office and complete electronic documentation.
• Read and follow pesticide labels, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Work occasional weekends when operationally necessary.
• Qualified candidates may also assist with job planning, quality control, equipment readiness, and training newer technicians.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional pest control experience is required.
• Hands-on termite treatment or wood-destroying insect experience is strongly preferred.
• Current New Jersey Category 7B certification or an equivalent termite/WDI credential is strongly preferred.
• Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses and certifications as needed.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, drills, spray equipment, or similar mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage a daily schedule, and communicate promptly with management.
• Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and facility representatives.
• Ability to complete written and electronic records in English.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to dig trenches around foundations as required by treatment plans and product labels.
• Ability to work in basements, crawlspaces, and other confined or difficult-to-access areas.
• Ability to kneel, bend, crawl, climb, and carry the tools and equipment required for termite work.
• Ability to walk moderate distances and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use a respirator when required, following medical clearance and fit testing.
