What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Tri-County Human Services?
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and submits contract invoices to CFBHN. Serves as backup on county and various agency invoicing. Prepare performance reports for the directors associated with the contract invoices monthly. Prepare and update performance and future draws on units performed with CFBHN in their Cafe software system. Maintain associated incidental logs.
- Assist with doing the month end journal entries and monthly tasks associated with preparing the financial statements.
- Serves as backup to Accountant III to scan deposits into the remote capture device.
- Train and monitor activities and duties of Accountant III and Accountant I.
- Assist with maintaining financial related policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Training and Experience
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university which would include knowledge in preparing budgets, participating in audits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and month-end closing in an automated environment.
