SCHOOL BASED ABA THERAPIST

JOB DESCRIPTION: School-based ABA providers deliver evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services designed to support children and adolescents in developing meaningful skills across social, emotional, behavioral, communication, and academic settings. ABA providers work collaboratively within school environments and alongside families, educators, and clinical teams to help students reach individualized goals and improve overall quality of life.

Providers will implement individualized behavior support plans, collect data, support skill development, and utilize positive reinforcement strategies to promote independence and success for students with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral needs.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct ABA services to children and adolescents in school-based settings
• Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies developed by the clinical team
• Support students in developing communication, social, adaptive, emotional regulation, and daily living skills
• Utilize evidence-based ABA principles and positive behavior supports
• Collect accurate data and document student progress during sessions
• Establish positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and school personnel
• Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), therapists, teachers, and caregivers to support student goals
• Assist in identifying barriers impacting student success and implement appropriate interventions
• Support classroom participation, transitions, routines, and skill generalization across environments
• Provide caregiver education and support when appropriate
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all ethical and professional standards
• Complete required documentation including session notes, data collection, and progress updates
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
• Assist with community outreach and organizational initiatives as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE:  1 Year

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred
• Experience working with children and/or individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs preferred
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions or skill-building programs preferred
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles preferred
• Ability to complete required training and maintain applicable certifications (such as RBT, if applicable)

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between school/community locations as needed
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Salary : $35 - $40
