What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUPPORTIVE HOUSING DIRECTOR position at TRI-COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY?
JOB FUNCTION: The Supportive Housing Director will perform a variety of tasks essential to the daily operation of the Shelter Programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Within the boundaries of Gateway Community Action Partnership policies and procedures the Supportive Housing Director, under the direction of the VP/Social Services within the Social Services Department will fulfill the duties listed, but limited to the following:
- Provide technical and administrative support the Supportive Housing staff
- Answering incoming calls, recording messages and relaying information.
- Interview applicants to determine eligibility for services.
- Assist Applicants with completing applications for service.
- Make sure all documentation required for completing application is correct.
- Properly document and prepare Case File.
- Counseling and/or referring applicants to other Social Service agencies as needed.
- Meet LOS requirements for funded programs
- Meet spending requirements and deadlines for funded program.
- Maintain LOS logs.
- Meet requirements for Social Service Outreach contracts (WINN, Eastern Pacific, etc…)
- Submit required monthly reports.
- Process and complete Purchase Orders.
- Attend Social Service / Community meetings as needed.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Attend meetings with VP/Social Services
- Other as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in a customer friendly business
- One year experience in management position
- Knowledge of computer and Microsoft office programs
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Access to an insured vehicle daily
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
