Assistant Ones Teacher

Job Summary

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Toddler Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. In this role, you will assist lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, ensuring each child's safety and well-being while fostering curiosity and social skills. Your energy and compassion will contribute to creating a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes growth, learning, and joy for toddlers during their critical early years.

Duties

• Support the lead teacher in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers.
• Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Implement behavior management strategies under supervision to promote positive interactions among children.
• Communicate effectively with parents about daily activities, milestones, and any concerns regarding their child's progress or well-being.
• Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric CPR, and mandated reporting laws to ensure a secure environment.
• Support classroom management by maintaining routines and providing individual attention to children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support.

Experience

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques is essential.
• Experience with infants or toddlers care, including diapering and feeding routines.
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Background in special education or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
