Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Fire Science Instructor role based in the Whittier, CA. Area. The role involves developing and implementing engaging instructional plans to teach fire science concepts and procedures. Responsibilities include educating students on fire prevention, fire safety, firefighting techniques, and emergency response. Additionally, the instructor will guide students through hands-on training, evaluate their progress, and help them meet industry and certification standards.
Qualifications
Understand and experience
- Fire Science skills to effectively communicate fire science concepts and best practices.
- Analytical Skills to assess student progress and address complex scenarios related to fire science and safety.
- Superior Communication and Education skills to clearly convey information and provide mentorship to students in both classroom and practical environments.
- Prior experience in fire services, emergency response, or a related field is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Safety Management, or a related field is desirable (but not required.)
- Relevant certifications or licenses in firefighting, emergency response, or fire safety education desired.
- Passion for teaching and equipping students with valuable career development skills.
