Water Restoration Technician Description
Position Overview - We are a 24 hour emergency service company.
- Oversees, examines, and executes tasks for Water Restoration projects to guarantee the completion of drying, demolition, and various restoration activities. Prepares and reviews documentation, including notes, photographs, and records, in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies. Provides in-person explanations to customers regarding the processes employed to complete active jobs and the subsequent steps toward resolution.
Job Responsibilities
- Retrieves work orders, plans travel route, and ensures that the truck is loaded with the appropriate equipment and supplies required for the job prior to arrival at the work site.
- Executes water damage restoration, including water extraction, content pack-out, removal and disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction and demolition as directed by the supervisor.
- Conducts post-completion job inspections and obtains customer signatures for approval and payment processing as needed.
- Performs daily monitoring and assigned tasks on water damage restoration jobs for residential and/or commercial customers, prioritizing urgent matters.
- Manages customer relations, including issue resolution and communication, and provides updates to the supervisor and pertinent company staff regarding customer concerns and daily job activities.
- Prepares documentation and photographs in accordance with company policies and procedures to facilitate reimbursement from insurance companies.
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in the restoration industry preferred
- Certifications are not required but preferred
- Valid Drivers' License and satisfactory driving record
- Good customer service skills
- Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical Demands and Working Conditions - Ability to be on call 24/7 - 1 weekend a monthCompensation - $17-$21 per hour depending on experience
