What are the responsibilities and job description for the DRIVER position at TREZEVANT EPISCOPAL HOME?
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Driver is responsible for transporting residents of Trezevant Manor, Allen Morgan Health Center and Assisted Living at Trezevant to and from scheduled appointments. These appointments may be medical, Trezevant scheduled resident activities, resident personal errands, local trips as requested, and other locations which the Director of Resident Services may coordinate.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport residents safely to and from destinations and develop rapport with them.
- Maintain a schedule of appointments and create a positive relationship with other Drivers and Trezevant employees to help ensure overall high quality of life for all residents.
- Must report any noticeable, significant changes or incidents regarding resident(s) to appropriate personnel.
- Must have knowledge of Trezevant Manor’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Must be courteous and considerate at all times and develop good listening skills so as to show interest in the resident(s)and help prevent problems before they occur.
- Must alert Director of Resident Services about preventative maintenance needs on company vehicles.
- Communication skills must reflect caring and respect for residents, families and other members of Trezevant Episcopal Home.
- Perform any other activity assigned by the Director of Resident Services.
- Report for work on time, as scheduled as outlined in the Employee Handbook
License/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must hold a current class CDL Tennessee state driver’s license and keep updated.
- Commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
