Job Overview

We are looking for a calm, nurturing, flexible, patient guide who is willing to learn more about the Montessori Philosophy to assist in the Toddler Classrooms. You will be working with a trained Montessori Directress with children ages (18 months-36 months).
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Support lead teachers in implementing Montessori-based activities that promote sensory development, fine motor skills, and early literacy.
- Supervise children during activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage with children through nurturing interactions, encouraging independence and positive behavior management strategies.
- Support classroom routines such as diapering and toilet learning, handwashing, and snack time with patience and care.
- Help monitor individual developmental progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher for tailored support plans.
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary, to maintain a secure environment for children.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a flexible approach to daily routines.
