Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, gas fired furnaces, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to prevent future issues.
- Install new HVAC equipment and components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings following safety standards and project specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection and condensate drains
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and volt meters
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports for each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all field service activities while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with a strong mechanical background.
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues within the refrigerant circuit of heat pumps and air conditioners
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems design principles and ability to read schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, property maintenance, and general mechanical work.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools
- Knowledge and experience with low and high voltage systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- EPA or CFC license required.
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
