Trenam Law is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. At Trenam, we value excellence, collaboration, and client-focused service. Our paralegals play an integral role in delivering exceptional support to our attorneys and clients across a wide range of complex litigation matters. This role is critical to supporting our attorneys and clients in all phases of the litigation process.
Requirements
- Prepare and draft pleadings, including motions, notices, and subpoenas.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of trial, mediation, and hearing preparation.
- Organize and prepare comprehensive hearing and trial binders.
- Conduct background investigations and factual research to support case strategy.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, clerks, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
- Manage discovery processes, including organizing and preparing productions.
- Conduct legal research and cite checking as needed.
- Utilize case management and document review tools, including DISCO, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other key case events.
- Maintain and track time-sensitive deadlines and case milestones.
- Attend hearings and trials as required to assist attorneys.
- Must know how to record and bill time accurately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with DISCO or similar e-discovery platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
