Position Summary
Tremont Construction Management seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Payroll Specialist to join our growing Boston-based team. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle AP operations and supporting accurate, timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a solid accounting foundation, and experience working in a fast-paced construction or project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices, verify approvals, and ensure accurate coding to jobs and cost centers.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries.
- Monitor project-level cash balances and identify priority payments.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Payroll
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for field and office employees.
- Review timesheets for accuracy, job costing, and compliance.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Determine tax liabilities and coordinate timely remittance to federal and state agencies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee updates, deductions, and benefits administration
