Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing challenges across diverse age groups.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
- Monitor client progress regularly and adjust therapy strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families on exercises, strategies, and tools to support ongoing communication development outside of sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and caregivers to coordinate care plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (e.g., ASHA Certification or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with diverse populations experiencing speech or language difficulties.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate clients and communicate effectively with families and team members.
- Knowledge of current therapeutic techniques and assistive communication technologies.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
