Tasks And Responsibilities
- Conducts hourly recruitment efforts: proactively seeks out recruiting options to ensure quality candidates. screens resumes, conducts initial interviews, schedules subsequent interviews, administers pre-employment tests, and extends offers. Proactively contacts candidates to keep them engaged, informed and organized.
- Serve as a resource for benefits inquiries.
- Consistently administer policies and procedures in accordance with Trelleborg and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Maintains employee records, data and reporting with the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee and reporting information in all HR systems and files.
- Lead and maintains the attendance points tracking system and ensures the system remains current, accurate and writeups are managed in accordance with the site attendance policy.
- Administers and maintains various activities designed to achieve and sustain a high level of employee morale.
- Other tasks and projects as necessary or assigned.
- Oversees new hire orientation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a multi-shift union manufacturing environment.
- HRIS systems experience (UltiPro preferred)
- PHR, and/or SHRM certification
- Knowledge of HR principles and best practices
- Knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations
- Polished interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to exercise sound judgement
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in and environment of constant interruptions
- Experience maintaining strict confidence regarding sensitive, protected and/or confidential information
- Positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Minimal travel is expected, but may be required up to 5%
