Responsibilities:
Snow and Ice Removal: Operate snowplows, shovels, and snow blowers to clear driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas of snow and ice. This includes performing de-icing activities and spreading salt or sand on affected surfaces.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Inspect and maintain snow removal equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
This includes performing regular checks and preventative maintenance on tools and machinery.
Site Assessment: Assess weather conditions and inspect sites to determine the necessary tools and equipment for effective snow removal. This involves monitoring forecasts to anticipate snowfall and adjust removal schedules accordingly.
Safety Compliance: Post warning signs to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Follow all safety protocols
while operating machinery and handling materials.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in snow and ice removal is preferred.
- Knowledge of operating snow removal equipment
- Strong communication skills
- The ability and stamina to work in cold weather conditions are essential.
