Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, following established recipes and customer preferences.
• Take food orders accurately and deliver prompt, friendly service to enhance the guest experience.
• Navigate Toast POS effectively when putting in orders and cashing out guests. Ability to work on a handheld Toast tablet is a plus.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and food handling protocols.
• Develop beverage recipes and suggest pairings to elevate the dining experience for guests.
• Engage with customers proactively to promote sales of beverages and food items while providing expert recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cashing out procedures, process payments securely, and manage tabs responsibly during busy service hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies, monitor guest consumption, and intervene when necessary to ensure safety.
• Assist in bar management duties during shifts, including stock replenishment, inventory checks, and maintaining bar supplies.

Experience

• Previous experience in bartending or serving roles within the hospitality industry is REQUIRED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Toast POS system. Ability to navigate and work on a Toast handheld device is a plus!
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or upscale food service environments enhances your ability to deliver fast, efficient, top-tier service.
• Familiarity with beverage recipe development, mixology techniques, wine knowledge, beer knowledge, and spirits is desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills in fast-paced environments and an exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude that fosters guest loyalty & a team oriented work environment.
• Experience handling cash transactions accurately using retail math principles such as cashiering and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations is essential.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
