This role is responsible for maintaining the facility, supporting routine maintenance, helping prevent equipment failures, and assisting with general building upkeep. Our facility relies heavily on mechanical systems, water systems, environmental equipment, and hydroponic infrastructure, so we are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

Cannabis or grow-facility experience is not required. Strong maintenance, mechanical, facility, construction, or trade experience is more important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facility areas, including fan grates, mechanical rooms, utility areas, common areas, grounds, and general building condition.
  • Handle light construction and facility improvement projects, including drywall repair, painting, framing, equipment installation, running cables/conduit, light plumbing, and minor repairs.
  • For larger projects, coordinate and help lead outside contractor crews as needed.
  • Respond to urgent facility issues as needed, including leaks, HVAC or dehumidification failures, pump failures, power/equipment issues, and major environmental swings affecting facility operations.
  • Track parts inventory and help order maintenance supplies such as filters, belts, fittings, pumps, bulbs, hardware, tools, and repair materials.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendors, gather quotes when needed, meet contractors onsite, verify work was completed properly, and report issues or recommendations to facility leadership.
  • Assist with cultivation room turns and facility resets, including moving equipment, cleaning infrastructure, preparing rooms between cycles, and supporting facility work needed to keep operations on schedule.
  • Follow safe work practices, keep work areas clean, identify and report hazards, use PPE when appropriate, and follow lockout/tagout or other safety procedures when applicable.
  • Perform both skilled maintenance work and routine facility upkeep as needed to keep the property, equipment, and building systems clean, organized, maintained, and operating properly.
