Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and facility maintenance. Proven experience in food processing and manufacturing is a must. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and maintenance issues, as well as a solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations. Welding and fabrication experience required. Must be willing to work any shift, including swing and graveyard. Overtime and weekends as necessary.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
- Install, maintain, and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all electrical work.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for equipment repairs or modifications.
- Ensure facility maintenance projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with OSHA and food safety regulations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to management.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician, facility maintenance, or related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication experience.
- Able to climb stairs or ladders and work safely at elevated heights of 45ft or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties involving x-ray machines, sorting machines, chain bucket elevators, conveyor systems, vibrator feeders, dust collectors, and gravity separator sorting machines.
- Must be experienced in replacing electric motors, gear boxes, bearings, pulleys, v-belts, and aligning chain sprockets on various types of equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (English and Spanish) to collaborate effectively with team members.
