- Maintain machines and equipment to ensure production processes are reliable and consistent.
- Supports installation and rearranges complex equipment.
- Diagnoses equipment failure as instructed by supervision.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex equipment.
- Performs work in the mechanic skilled area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipe fitting, as instructed by supervision.
- Occasionally performs work in other trades as instructed by supervision.
- Completes all assigned work orders in CMMS at the time of completion with notes.
- Uses typical mechanics tools and inspection gages.
- Have Basic Electrical knowledge, know to use a voltage meter.
- Have Basic Hydraulic usage knowledge.
- Works from drawings, verbal instructions, or sketches.
- Uses shop math.
- Cleans debris and lubricant from parts, work area, and equipment.
- Operates production equipment to check work as required.
- Improving safety
- Improving quality
- Reducing scrap
- Responsible for overseeing food safety.
- Electro/mechanical/pneumatic background in automated machines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – (PowerPoint /Excel/ Word)
- Stainless Steel Welding and Fabrication a plus
- Equipment building and prototyping a plus.
- Ability to work with and understand AC and DC voltage.
- Troubleshoot all aspects of maintenance in an Industrial Manufacturing Business.
- Prepare estimates of time, materials, and labor.
- Work from plans and specifications.
- Work with limited supervision, follow oral and written instructions.
- Form and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- High School Diploma
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, preferred.
- 3 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity in an industrial/manufacturing/machine preferred.
