What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Assistant Manager position at Trecek Automotive of Portage?
Our Body Shop Assistant Manager is responsible for greeting our customers in a friendly and inviting manner, to collect and update all customer information, properly write up customer vehicle repairs, work closely with insurance companies to confirm the specific company protocols are adhered to, monitor the repairs of vehicles, selling value added services to customers, and to communicate with customers throughout the entire service repair process. In addition, The successful candidate will assist the Manager in the following areas: Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for body work. Prepares final billing for completed repair orders. Administrative tasks involving collision estimates and work in process. Repair order supplements. Following up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability. Other tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Prior estimating experience at a collision repair facility
- Ability to write complete and accurate estimates
- Knowledge of DRP guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of automobile repair estimating, including relevant software programs
- Excellent sales abilities and overall communication skills. Able to relate well to diverse audiences
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently in a fast-paced work environment
- A valid state driver's license in order to drive customer or company vehicles
- ICAR and ASE preferred.
If you have prior body shop estimating, insurance estimating experience, paint and/or body shop experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior customer service skills, a good working knowledge of computers, a clean DMV record, minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, we would love to hear from you!
