Job Title: Collibra Data Governance Consultant / Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Collibra Data Governance Consultant / Analyst to support enterprise-wide data governance and data catalog initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra, data cataloging, business process mapping, and metadata management. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to improve data governance maturity and ensure proper documentation and classification of enterprise data assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive data catalog maturity initiatives by identifying and documenting data elements including columns, tables, business terms, and related metadata.
- Create, maintain, and enhance data governance artifacts within Collibra.
- Identify and document Table Sets, data values, and relationships across enterprise systems.
- Conduct business process mapping to ensure complete coverage and alignment of business terms and data definitions.
- Analyze upstream and downstream data flows to identify databases and data sources that require cataloging and governance.
- Collaborate with data stewards, business users, and technical teams to establish governance standards and improve data quality.
- Support metadata management, data lineage, and governance reporting activities.
- Utilize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and metadata discovery.
- Participate in governance workshops, stakeholder meetings, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure governance documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with Data Governance and Data Catalog tools, preferably Collibra.
- Understanding of database structures, data models, metadata, and data stewardship concepts.
- Strong experience in business analysis and process mapping.
- Ability to identify and document business terms, data assets, and data relationships.
- Hands-on SQL querying capability for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with governance platforms such as CloudPak and Collibra is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
