Senior Manager / VP – Credit Fund Accounting - Finance & Operations

Overview
Our Client, a leading asset manager, is seeking an accountant with 10 years of experience working with private credit funds. This individual will operate at the center of the firm’s credit platform, partnering across investment, operations, investor relations, and senior leadership.
The role blends technical fund accounting expertise with forward-looking financial insight and process innovation, including exposure to automation, data infrastructure, and scalable reporting solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring institutional-quality reporting while driving efficiency and transparency across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Fund Oversight
- Lead quarterly close processes across multiple credit funds, including oversight of third-party administrators
- Review and deliver GAAP financial statements, LP capital account reporting, and fund-level performance analytics
- Oversee waterfall and performance fee calculations
- Review regulatory filings (e.g., Form ADV, Form PF, SLT)
- Own internal management reporting, including fund performance, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage capital call and distribution processes, including investor-level allocations
Fund Operations & Liquidity Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across complex fund structures (master-feeder, evergreen, closed-end)
- Monitor cash flows, liquidity, and credit facility compliance
- Partner with investment and portfolio teams on valuation, settlements, and portfolio activity
- Ensure compliance with fund governing documents (LPA, IMAs, side letters)
- Interface with investors and support ad-hoc LP reporting and diligence requests
Data, Systems & Process Optimization
- Drive automation and scalability across reporting and finance workflows
- Build and enhance dashboards, reporting tools, and data pipelines for senior management
- Leverage tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and similar platforms
- Act as a subject matter expert across financial systems and reporting infrastructure
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency
Candidate Profile
- 10 years of experience in credit, private markets, or alternative asset management
- Strong background in fund accounting, financial reporting, and fund operations
- Experience overseeing third-party fund administrators
- Deep understanding of private fund structures and waterfall mechanics
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills required
- Experience with Geneva, Allvue, iLevel, Hazeltree, or similar systems preferred
- Exposure to data/automation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) highly valued
- CPA and/or CFA preferred
Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
