Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Service Technician to lead preventive maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs for industry-leading mobile industrial equipment. This role is essential to maintaining high levels of equipment uptime and ensuring a premium customer experience across warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics environments. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable working both independently in the field and collaboratively with internal operations teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Service & Repair:
Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and battery-related malfunctions in real-time production settings.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, comprehensive system inspections, and component replacements.
Conduct post-repair testing to verify full machine functionality and safety.
Identify root causes of equipment failure and document corrective actions taken.
Generate and present repair quotations to customers with consistent follow-up.
Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately record service issues, labor hours, and parts used within the company CRM system.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs, checklists, and inspection reports.
Escalate recurring performance trends or quality concerns to leadership.
Gather customer feedback to identify needs for equipment upgrades or accessories.
Customer Support & Collaboration:
Provide live remote troubleshooting support via phone, email, and video conferencing.
Coordinate with warehouse and parts departments to ensure necessary inventory availability.
Partner with sales representatives to support on-site evaluations and new equipment implementations.
2 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance or repair.
Strong proficiency in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring schematics, and standardized service procedures.
High level of professionalism with strong communication skills and a focus on customer service.
Proven documentation discipline, specifically with CRM platforms or similar reporting tools.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and work within active warehouse/manufacturing environments.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
Direct experience with battery-powered systems and low-voltage electrical components.
Background in warehouse automation, packaging equipment, or high-speed industrial machinery.
Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, and distribution center operations.
Forklift certification and a strong understanding of industrial safety standards.
Knowledge of ergonomics and warehouse productivity initiatives.
