What are the responsibilities and job description for the Misc. Light Industrial position at TRC Talent Solutions?
They must be avle to lift 50lbs or more during the 8 hr day
Lift Furniture, unloading trucks,dressers, tables.
Must be able to use basic hand tools to assemble legs on tables and use screwdriers to set up furniture.
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming furniture shipments for damage or discrepancies.
Move furniture and related merchandise between the warehouse, showroom floor, and loading areas.
Assist with showroom set changes and furniture placement according to floor plans.
Assemble furniture and display items as required.
Load customer pickups and assist delivery teams when needed.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages or damages.
Organize warehouse stock to maximize space and accessibility.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
Keep warehouse and showroom areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Follow all company safety procedures and lifting guidelines.
Provide courteous assistance to customers during pickups and showroom visits.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in warehouse, furniture handling, moving, or material handling preferred.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull furniture weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic inventory and shipping/receiving knowledge preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to move large and bulky furniture safely. alot of heavy lifting
Work in warehouse and showroom environments with varying temperatures.
