Logistics Specialist
Expanding award winning manufacturer is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their Corporate Logistics and Transportation team. Responsibilities:
- Contact the appropriate carriers including railcars, trucking companies
- Adjust customer orders when necessary
- Reroute shipments
- Processing returns in order to return products to appropriate location
- Track and update shipments in customers portal
- Communicating with external and internal customers regarding shipments
- Monitor and communicate with management inappropriate charges from carriers
- Communicate transportation cost with customers
- Maintain and create reports pertaining to transportation costs in Excel
- Provide management with weekly carrier "on-time" data
- Process payments for carriers
- Manager and process all freight claims
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Microsoft Office Excel
- Excellent communication skills both written or verbal
