Accounting Assistant (Part-time)
International manufacture is adding a part-time Accounting Assistant to their team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, expense report review, general ledger reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established Charlotte company that offers part-time flexibility Hourly wage up to $27. an hour.
Responsibilities Include
- Set up new vendors by collecting all necessary documents.
- Entering and recording invoices
- Research any discrepancies, missing documentation, or other issues
- Set up ACH and wire requests to ensure payments are made on time.
- Set up new customers by collecting all necessary documents.
- Recording customer payments (check & ACH).
- Correspond with customer and/or Parts dept when payments and invoices don’t match and the difference is not easily identifiable.
- Review for accuracy and approve expense reports with the appropriate Manager
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Journal entries for some monthly invoices and charges.
- File maintenance- Scanning records and/or filing documents, including customer receipts and vendor invoices and digital copies.
- Develop and improve accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures
Qualifications:
- Basic Accounting principles
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
