TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2026 intern program out of our Rancho Cordova, CA Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2026 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Responsibilities
- Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development
- Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design
- Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings
- Use AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products
- Work will be in the field working with a construction inspector
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Communicate with contractors
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CAD, or related field
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, detail orientated person
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
- Applicants for this intern role must possess a clean driving record.
