The Access Control candidate will need to guard and protect property. This person’s duties involve serving at a fixed post, making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle, and/or escorting persons around the premises. May help visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions. Will ensure that emergencies and security violations are quickly discovered and reported. May include long hours, flex shifts and outdoor conditions (heat, rain, snow, wind, etc.).

Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitoring activities
- Protect controlled area(s)
- Record names of individuals requesting access
- Log vehicles entering and leaving site
- Grant or deny access at various facilities and locations
- Escorting visitors
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exercise discretion and good judgement
- Follow detailed directions
- Safeguard property
- Reliability (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Travel is primarily local during the business day; may require some off-site travel
- Comfortable with and able to communicate effectively
- Ability to complete and deliver required work, with minimal supervision
- Focused/observant of your surroundings
- Active/current DOD Clearance
- This job mostly operates in an outdoor field environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; hand/finger dexterity to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; communicate with internal/external clients; and taste or smell
- The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
