General Summary:

The GSRP Coordinator manages the program coordination and operational success of GSRP classrooms across designated buildings. Working in close collaboration with the Licensed Child Care Director and the Child Care Registration Coordinator, this role ensures regulatory compliance, smooth student enrollment, and high-quality instructional support. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates services and essential supports required and provided by North Ed.
  2. Maintains necessary credentials to support NMCAA and the TCAPS Registration Coordinator during high volumes of applications to ensure timely and accurate placements in TCAPS programs.
  3. Works in conjunction with and supports the Child Care Registration Coordinator.
  4. Assist with the strategic recruitment, selection, and placement of GSRP students in conjunction with the Child Care Registration Coordinator 
  5. Partner with the Licensed Child Care Director to design, organize, and implement professional development and continuous training opportunities for GSRP staff .
  6. Partner with the Licensed Child Care Director to design, organize, and implement parent engagement and parent education resources for GSRP families.
  7. Ensure daily classroom coverage by credentialed staff during absences in strict compliance with LARA (Licensing and Regulatory Affairs) requirements.
  8. Ensure full compliance of GSRP Implementation Manual throughout all GSRP classrooms.
  9. Works with the Licensed Child Care Director to complete and uphold Quality Ratings for GSRP programs and their designated buildings.
  10. Assess, determine, and procure curriculum materials, instructional supplies, and equipment necessary to maintain high-quality GSRP learning environments  
  11. Provide curriculum coaching as needed across all GSRP classrooms
  12. Processing purchase orders, tracking expenditures for classroom materials, and aligning receipts with GSRP grant guidelines 
  13. Coordinate with internal departments to secure necessary resources, supporting the holistic needs of GSRP students and staff at designated buildings. 
  14. Routine in classroom support for all GSRP programs
  15. Maintains credentials and licensing requirements to serve as GSRP sub when needed.
  16. Maintain current CPI certification
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent blended experience/coursework) preferred
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of successful professional practice or administrative experience in an early childhood setting preferred .   
  3. Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary state credentials to serve as a GSRP alternate teacher .

  6. The willingness to seek further training and education.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  1. Must be able to report on a regular and consistent basis. 
  2. Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
  3. Duties include frequent walking and physical activity, as well as use of hands and arms for signaling and light lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds. Must have the ability to move about the classroom/building and school property, including sitting on the floor, bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, twisting, climbing, stooping, or crouching to complete work-related tasks with and without students. 
  4. The ability to listen and effectively orally communicate information and ideas to a diverse population.
  5. Ability to communicate and work effectively with children, parents colleagues, administrative staff and community members
  6. Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action(s).
  7. Ability to critically think and provide appropriate solutions. 
  8. Ability to work effectively and efficiently.

Environmental Conditions:

Incumbents work in indoor and outdoor school environments with moderate to loud noise levels, crowds and allergens. Duties may be completed in cold and hot temperatures, including work on slippery and/or uneven surfaces. Work environment includes working around students, school equipment, and office equipment. 

Work Schedules:

Must be available to report during the school year consistent with the district’s school year calendar. May require irregular hours, including evenings and weekends for school events or professional development activities.

The individual selected for this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
