Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team as a travel professional in Roswell, New Mexico. This is an immediate opening for a 13-week assignment with a 40-hour workweek and 8-hour shifts.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and possess BLS certification, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
- Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
- Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
- Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
- Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- At least one year of experience
- BLS certification
- ARDMS National Certification
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
