Radiology Technologist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Springfield, Vermont. As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment and ensuring accurate image production.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Follow orders from Physicians regarding imaging protocols
- Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for Physician review
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Rad Tech
- BLS and ARRT (R) National Certification
- State-specific licensing when required
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Additional Information
This is a travel assignment with a duration of 13 weeks, working 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift schedule. The right candidate must be able to adapt to new environments and work well under pressure.
