Travel Radiology Technologist Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Westminster, Colorado.
Job Description:
This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours of work per week, requiring a 12-hour night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing diagnostic imaging equipment to produce accurate images for medical interpretation by physicians. They will also prepare and care for patients undergoing radiologic testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
- Follow physician orders regarding imaging protocols
- Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment as needed
- Prioritize radiation safety and take necessary precautions
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must have at least one year of experience as a Rad Tech. A valid ARRT (R) National Certification, state-specific licensing when required, and BLS certification are also essential. The ideal candidate should possess a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They should be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
