Travel CT Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opportunity in Mankato, MN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance as needed
- Position patients correctly for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Capture diagnostic images using computerized tomography equipment
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They must also be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily.
This is a travel position with 9 weeks of assignment duration, working 40 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift schedule. The employment type is travel, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
