Travel MRI Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Troy, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance.
- Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed, and follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
This is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and days off. The right candidate must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have excellent communication skills.
