**Job Title:** Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist for an immediate travel assignment in New London, NH.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Position patients correctly for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Capture diagnostic images using computerized tomography equipment
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and accuracy
- FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN WORKING WITH RADIATION
- Maintain accurate patient records
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop easily
**Working Conditions:**
As a CT Technologist, you will be working in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent exposure to radiation. You must be able to lift patients and push heavy equipment, if needed.
