Position Qualifications
- Active and current LVN license (state-specific).
- Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS required.
- Physical ability to walk, bend, lift, and perform hands-on patient care.
- Ability to manage and tolerate behaviors of confused or verbally/physically difficult patients.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to learn and accept change.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English—verbal and written.
- Reliable attendance, professionalism, and dependability.

- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Perform treatments and procedures as ordered (e.g., EKGs, blood draws, IV starts).
- Maintain clean, uncluttered work areas; ensure patient hydration and room readiness.
- Provide patient and family education based on care needs.
- Administer medications per policy; ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and adequate supply.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses promptly and accurately.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies; initiate resuscitation measures as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide care that respects patient rights, dignity, and cultural diversity.
- Report changes in patient condition to appropriate staff each shift.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
- Assist other departments when qualified and as needed.
- Follow all protocols for nursing procedures, equipment operation, and safety.
- Participate in patient transfers, specimen collection, and lab coordination.
- Assist in orientation of new staff and contribute to ongoing staff education.
- Communicate concerns through proper channels to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and maintain required certifications.
- Participate in end-of-shift walking rounds to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with direct patient care and ensure CNA tasks are completed and documented.
- Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Complete all annual trainings and maintain regulatory requirements.
- Wear identification badge while on duty.
- Arrive on time, work scheduled shifts, and complete assigned work efficiently.
- Uphold the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
- Must be willing to work beyond normal hours based on departmental needs.
- Interaction with residents, families, public agencies, and staff as required.
