Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste while ensuring product quality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions
Experience
- Proven experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, beverage recipes, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and spirits including liquors and liqueurs
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism
- Experience serving in fine dining settings or high-volume venues preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously through excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
