Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will assist in analyzing pricing strategies, evaluating market trends, and supporting pricing decisions to maximize profitability and competitiveness. You will work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for our organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collect, review, and interpret pricing data to assist in setting competitive price points.
- Help develop and implement pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor pricing, and cost analysis.
- Research industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to provide insights on pricing adjustments.
- Work with finance and supply chain teams to evaluate costs and ensure profitability.
- Maintain pricing databases, update price lists, and ensure accuracy in pricing across systems.
- Work with sales, marketing, and finance to provide pricing support and recommendations.
- Create reports and dashboards to track pricing performance, sales trends, and margin analysis.
- Address pricing-related questions and issues from customers and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis); knowledge of ERP or pricing software is a plus.
- Ability to manage large datasets with accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams.
- A proactive mindset to identify pricing opportunities and process improvements.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or coursework related to pricing, finance, or data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Tableau (a plus but not required).
- Familiarity with manufacturing or distribution industries.
