About the Role
Transwest Mobile is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our** SLC** service location. This leadership role is responsible for managing service order workflow, supervising technicians, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and productivity.
- Supervise, support, and develop service technicians to ensure high performance and quality work.
- Manage repair orders, ensure timely completion of jobs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by handling escalations, managing expectations, and ensuring timely communication.
- Coordinate with parts, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor shop performance metrics and implement process improvements as needed.
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of service personnel.
- Manage shop inventory and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and operational.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Service Manager, Shop Manager, or similar leadership role in a mechanical, diesel, or fleet service environment.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with service management software (Fullbay experience preferred).
- Technical knowledge of diesel, mechanical, or automotive repair.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background and drug screening.
